Yarra Edge is based on a vineyard in Yarra Valley region aiming to produce and share premium red and white wines. The main varieties produced are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and blend wines. With grapevines planted in 1983 and 1995, we select premium viniferous for winemaking. We regard the quality of wines as our first priority.
Currently we are looking for a vineyard assistant to join our Yarra Edge group. For individual wanting to work in wine industry, this is an exciting opportunity to participate in the grape growing premium wine making process. The job description and requirements are listed below.
Job Description
- Assist vineyard manager in daily vineyard activities (mainly including pruning, shoot thinning, de-suckering, wire-lifting, fruit picking, etc. )
- Learn to operate machinery or equipment
- Fulfill other responsibilities as required
Job Requirements
- Honesty, integrity and hardworking; Ability to work independently; Take the initiative; Strong sense of responsibility
- Good communication and organisational skills, enjoy team work and be capable of operating with autonomy
- Valid Driver’s license in Australia, good driving skills and sufficient driving experience in Australia are preferred
