Helen & Joey are employing.
Helen & Joey Estate is a vineyard and wine producer in the heart of the picturesque Yarra Valley. A combination of great wines, great views and great customer experiences has resulted in our cellar door growing rapidly. Consequently, we are looking for a special someone to join our small cellar door team in a casualcapacity.
If you love talking about wine and engaging with people through storytelling we want to hear from you. You must be passionate about the distinctiveness of the wines of the Yarra Valley... not to mention the regions produce, landscape, culture and history.
We have high aspirations and further significant plans for growth over the next few years. This is a job for someone who thrives in an inclusive, dynamic and challenging work environment.
Essential requirements
- Wine lover with high level, communication and people engagement skills - Thrive in a busy and dynamic growth environment - Flexibility to roster over a seven-day cycle, including weekends and public holidays - Able to function flexibly, effectively and independently in a busy, customer driven environment.
- High degree of attention to detail regarding cleanliness, tidiness and displays
- Full Victorian drivers licence and own transport
- Current Victorian Responsible Serving of Alcohol Certificate
- Australian resident or the right to work in Australia without limitations
Desirable requirements
- Previous work experience and qualifications in wine, hospitality, tourism or retail
- Some experience with commercial food preparation, or a passionate and capable home cook
- An insatiable desire to learn and develop new skills
- Forklift operators license
- Hygiene for food handling qualifications
- Second language, especially Mandarin speaking competence
- Local Yarra Valley regional knowledge and connections
