King Valley Wines is looking for experienced vintage staff for the 2023 vintage. Located in the beautiful King Valley, we specialise in Italian grap varieties - Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Caniolo, Nero d'Avola, Pinot Grigio, Verduzzo, Garganega, Arneis, Prosecco. The are is rich in Italian heritgae and Australian folklore. If you are looking to gain expertise in these varieties, this is the place for you. We offer competitive pay rates commensurate with your experience, as well as an end of season bonus.
Cellar Hands
- Vintage winery operations - additions, transfers, crushing, pressing, fermentation procedures, truck loading, oak filling and cleaning
- Grape receival forklift driver
- Modern clarification techniques, low and high solids cross-flow filtration
- Bottling Line - newly installed counter pressure Monobloc, labeller & boxer
Laboratory Assistants
- Conduct all routine laboratory tests and reporting of results in a state-of-the-art laboratory
- Weighbridge operations
Prior cellar and/orlaboratory experience is highly desirable, and specific job training is provided for individuals.
Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency or a valid existing Australian work visa.
Our vintage is anticipated to start February 1st and go for around 8-10 weeks. Hours of work will vary depending on the seasonal variabilities but our vintage team will need to be available for day, afternoon and night shifts, as well as weekends as needed. There are also opportunities for long term work beyond harvest into June, July, August.
