Olivigna Estate are seeking an experienced vineyard operator that also has a passion for distilling spirits. We are located in Warrandyte South and require a passionate and experienced candidate to fulfil the unique and exciting roll of Vineyard Operator and Assistant Distiller.
Responsibilities and Duties
Experience in vineyard and/or other agricultural operation
A sound understanding of viticultural principles and practices.
Experience and willingness to work a mechanical and outdoor groundwork-based role
Machinery operations for all common vineyard operations.
Assisting the head distiller in the design, production, quality management of the entire range of manufactured spirits.
General cleaning and production wash down duties as required
General lifting, climbing and other physical activities as appropriate to a distillery/winery/warehouse industrial operation
Assist and support the daily operation of the distillery / winery
Prepared to work in all weather conditions
Qualifications and Skills
Have machinery operation skills and experience, including tractor, fork lift and spraying operation.
Current and ongoing car drivers licence and fork lift licence (or complete within first 3 months)
Familiarity with alcoholic beverage production techniques (distillery, brewery, winery etc)
A passion for boutique spirits and liqueurs
Ability to work in a multi-skilled dynamic environment
Ability to work un-supervised
Meticulous attention to detail and quality
