Our Role:
- Provide high quality laboratory information and materials to internal and external customers requiring laboratory services. Ensure information is communicated in a timely manner and non conformance's investigated.
Core responsibilities
- Supervise Laboratory Assistants and ensure safe and efficient operation of Laboratory and compliance with company WHS policy.
- Conduct quality control checks to identify inaccurate test results or poorly calibrated equipment and rectify issues before results are reported to customers
- Strong commitment to provide a high standard of customer relations internally and externally, Workplace Health & Safety and any improvements towards cost savings, quality, implementation of new systems, etc
- Take responsibility for the practical training of new staff and vintage casuals
- Provide Roster to staff and maintain training records
- Be an integral part of the overall team, demonstrating our ‘One Family, One Team’ culture
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Strong analytical, laboratory, science or wine-making background
- Excellent attention to detail
- Efficiency under pressure (vintage experience)
- Strong communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Proficient with suite of Microsoft products - including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking capabilities
- Front-line management
