Cellar hands required for the 2019 Australian vintage; to be situated at Elgo Estate winery in regional Victoria from mid February. We are a 700T contract processing facility, making premium wine from Yarra Valley, Heathcote and other Victorian regions.
The applicants should have prior cellar hand experience and be competent in undertaking the following work duties:
- Operating pumps
- Wine/juice transfers
- Handling ferments
- Pump overs and plunging
- Racking off lees
- Floatation fining
- Various product additions to wine/juice
- All aspects of barrel work
- Cleaning and sanitising tanks and all other winery equipment
Applicants should have a good understanding of workplace health and safety practices within a winery, attention to detail at all times and an enthusiasm for the industry.
Preference will be given to those with a forklift license.
Accommodation may be available on-site under negotiation with the owner.
