In this role
The Cellar Door Storeperson is responsible for maintaining stock levels for the cellar door and wine club and ensuring that customer orders are despatched in a timely manner.
Key accountabilities include
- Control incoming and outgoing cellar door warehouse stock (using JDE accounting software)
- Maintain accurate stock level records by conducting regular stocktakes
- Pack and despatch orders received through wine club and cellar door visitors
- Process customer orders though Australia Post's EParcel system
- Pick sample requests and process through JDE
- Load despatch orders onto Australia Post vehicles
- Unload incoming stock from delivery trucks and unpack stock into warehouse
- Manage bulk port levels for cellar door by transferring from large volume container to 5L jerry cans
- Maintain levels of dry goods associated with the cellar door warehouse
- Manage SKU and vintage changes for POS in Swiftpos Backoffice software
Other accountabilities include
- Relief coverage for cellar door sales
Essential knowledge and skills are
- High risk work permit for Forlift (LF)
- Valid Australian driver's licence
- Intermediate computer skills
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to think logically and solve problems
- Well developed communication and customer service skills
- Neat and tidy personal presentation
Essential experience is
- Experience in a warehouse or stock control role
- Experience using a forklift in confined areas
Preferred but not essential:
- Experience in the wine industry
- Experience dealing directly with customers
Essential qualifications are
- High risk work permit for Forlift (LF)
- Valid Australian driver's licence
Physical and other requirements
You must be physically fit and able to perform frequent manual handling of loads up to 25kg.
