Cellar Door Sales Supervisor (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

The Underground Barossa will be the new Cellar Door for the Burge Family Wine Estates and Barossa Boy wine brands selling a range of premium wines, bulk port and light refreshments.

We're looking for a motivated Cellar Door Sales Supervisor to help us evolve this stunning underground site into a memorable and engaging consumer experience. As part of the role you will lead a team of staff who are passionate about providing great hospitality and exceeding customer expectation.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the operational requirements of Cellar Door and day-to-day management of the site. Additional to this you will be required to provide administrative support to the office team.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Delivering exceptional standards of customer service
• Delivering a best in class consumer experience by conducting informative and detailed tastings with customers to secure sales
• Make and serve specialty coffee and tea beverages
• Staff rostering, stock ordering and control
• Identify and manage all staff training
• Manage phone and email enquiries for Cellar Door
• Coordinate the dispatch of Mail Order for orders that need to be sent/delivered
• Provide general administrative tasks such as typing, report collation, binding and distribution as well as other ad hoc duties

To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:

• Previous Cellar Door experience
• An extensive knowledge of wines
• Experience in leading and motivating a successful team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MYOB & Point of Sale IT systems
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• RSA Compliant
• Barista experience is preferred by not essential
• The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts
• Ability to work autonomously and resolve problems independent of direction
• High levels of organisation with the ability to maintain attentive, friendly service while busy and under pressure

Pay to be negotiated based on experience.
