ROLE:
This role is the 'heavy lifter' for sales within NSW with a significant On-Premise focus. It's the most senior sales position needing the commensurate and current industry experience to even be considered. Dealing with our key & major customers you must possess strong commercial acumen, plus outstanding wine knowledge for both domestic & imported wines. It is most likely you will be in a similar position at present. This territory delivers more than company benchmarks for sales, customers & our brands, yet still has untapped & uncapped potential for OTE. The salary package is negotiable to attract the very best applicants & includes, base + super + car allowance + bonus + wine allowance.
Reporting directly to the NSW State Manager, you will be responsible, within the four (4) Key Result Areas, for:
Job tasks and responsibilities
1. FINANCE (Sales & Gross Profit):
- Setting & meeting budget benchmarks for sales & GP.
- Growing territory sales year on year.
- Having the capacity to apply commercial expertise to achieve long, medium and short-term business objectives.
- Possessing the commercial acumen to identify, construct & fulfil bespoke opportunities.
- Capacity to identify and capitalise on new product and service developments to extend the current mix offered & enhance the ongoing commercial success of the business.
- Negotiate and deliver bespoke deals and pricing structures, leading to revenue growth through the acquisition of new business.
2. CUSTOMER:
- Manage a diverse customer base of key on-premise account groups and stand-alone venues.
- Growing, servicing & maintaining an active & real customer base to company benchmarks.
- Capacity to identify & anticipate the needs of customers to deliver products & services to meet & exceed expectations.
- Evaluate business opportunities on a case-by-case basis, considering and then presenting the potential commercial impact (both positive and negative) to both DWS management and the customer.
3. WINERIES (Brands):
- Delivering to winery partners' expectations – selling across both domestic & imported portfolios.
- Working collaboratively with winery partners.
- Ability to manage and develop relationships, both internally and with your customer base to achieve mutual goals.

Skills and experience
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
- Manage a wine portfolio of significant size, making appropriate range recommendations to customers based on venue profile, DWS business drivers and consumer trends.
- A personable, resilient & innovative approach to sales, being able to quickly build a rapport with customers & winery principals.
- Excellent time & work plan / management skills.
- Highly developed communication skills (verbal & written)
- Intermediate or better - Office 365.
