Brands

Déjà Vu wine company distribute a wealth of both domestic and international, wine and spirit brands including 'Golden Child' from South Australia, 'Bodegas Fontana' from Spain and rapidly growing Australian vermouth brand, 'Regal Rogue'. We are looking for a dynamic Sales and Marketing Manager to take these brands to the next level.

Candidate

Skill set

  • You will have 5 years proven sales experience across the European and Australian market working with an international wine and spirits portfolio. You must show a minimum of 3 years in the European market with exposure to Aperitifs & Digestifs category.
  • Experience drafting and developing sales plans across multi-channel route to market in the On and Off-premise and alternative routes to market
  • Experience applying sales strategies into markets for wine products and portfolios
  • Experience working with brand owners to apply their marketing plans into market and deliver sales outcomes to increase rate of sale across the On and Off premise, whilst showcasing how you developed the plan beyond expectation. 
  • Examples of initiatives you created to raise awareness of the brand creating engagement between the trade, consumer and brand.
  • Examples to show how dynamic you are and how you would apply thinking out of the box and disrupting the vermouth category.

Qualification

  • A bachelor degree within international business development, international trade or international business relations
  • Any supporting certifications or qualifications around wine and spirits training

Tasks Include

  • Act as the country representative for all marketing activity across PR, key influencer relationships and to manage, drive and develop the community around Dêjà Vu Wine Co.
  • Work with the brand owners and the internal Deja Vu team to manage, generate, drive and develop new sales opportunities, to deliver the sales and marketing plan in Australia focusing in Sydney, Melbourne and upon demand in other states.
  • Manage, generate, drive and develop the training platform, with content suitable for key trade and consumer influencers, to educate on wines and spirits and the vermouth category.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to promote Déjà Vu products through the creation and reinforcement of "brand image" and "brand loyalty" in Australia.
  • Direct and implement strategies to build and maintain Déjà Vu's image and reputation within the Australian market.
  • Ensure that the category training program is on trend for the AUS market
  • Manage, generate, drive and develop the monthly sales and marketing work in progress report and conference call meetings with relevant global brand teams.
  • Reconciliation of stocks for sampling and activation events and reporting on costs monthly and then on-going against quarterly and annual allocations.
  • Recruit, train, coach, manage and mentor the sales team to achieve the sales target;
  • Develop, manage and communicate the sales strategy (implementing Sales Productivity, Customer, Service Standards, determining system improvement and implement changes);
  • Collect and transform sales analysis in sales actions, plan to adjust and improve the sales strategy;
  • Determine annual gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for each state;
  • Improve and readapt the training strategy to the company target, manage and mentor  sales and marketing staff;
  • Forecast and project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; and consumer requirements;
  • Define market competitor's share; competitor's strengths and weaknesses;
  • Forecast projected business; establish targeted market share;
  • Work in close collaboration with the directors and management to define and implement the brand communication strategy.
