Miles from Nowhere is a family-owned business, making award-winning wines in Margaret River since 1974.  We pride ourselves on our passion for winemaking, producing handcrafted unique wines from the renowned Margaret River region. 

We are seeking a friendly and inspirational brand champion to join our team.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Promotions and Tasting professional who wants to work with one of Margret River’s most successful wine companies. 

You’ll be working in Perth managing accounts with key national retail stores and will be required to work between 20 and 24 hours per week.  This includes 3 days mid-week visiting customers driving sales and in-store tastings on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons. 

You will have strong interpersonal skills and a customer focus that leads to brand sales.  Your main responsibilities will include: 

Store visits for the purpose of:

  • Brand and relationship building to grow an extensive existing client base
  • Increase brand awareness and staff education
  • Compliance with promotional programs
  • Stock placement both on the floor/shelves and fridges
  • Handling any problems or queries the store managers have on the product

Conduct in-store consumer wine tastings 2-3 times per week to promote specials, and encourage sales

-Participate in other promotional opportunities as they arise.

You will need to have the following qualities:

  • A friendly, strong customer-service orientation
  • Develop rapport quickly with people and ability to network 
  • Exceptional communication skills, persuasive/sales ability 
  • Ability to exercise initiative and solve problems
  • Ability to work in a team and/or alone
  • Good organisational, planning and reporting skills
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence 
  • COVID-19 Certificate to enter retail stores
  • Knowledge of the wine industry is an advantage

This is a 2-month contract with possibly extension.
