Our rapidly growing business is looking for a committed and experienced Production Manager to oversee and drive continual improvement of operational tasks. To be successful in this role, the applicant will be a self-motivated professional with a proven track record of managing procurement, order fulfillment and dispatch, record keeping, site, plant and equipment upkeep and inventory levels. We are looking for a team player who possesses the following:
- Proven experience in warehouse management, operations management and supply chain management, ideally within the food or beverage industry.
- Strong interpersonal and management skills including excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Developed organisational and administrative skills.
- Outstanding strategic planning skills
- Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft office and inventory management systems
- Availability to work weekend and evening shifts
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing stock control as well as customer and supplier relations across multiple sites
- Careful management of systems, production lead times and inventory levels to enable production deadlines to be met
- Refining logistics to increase efficiency and decrease expenditure
- Monitoring and optimising packaging process
- Managing and honing inventory management systems
- Managing and honing record keeping systems including those for excisable goods
- Overseeing routine and intermittent maintenance of production equipment and warehouse sites
- Ensure production environment is compliant with all relevant legislations, regulations and company policies
