ABOUT BIBO:
bibo wine bar is an elegant yet relaxed wine bar and restaurant in Double Bay, offering high quality Mediterranean food, an incredible wine list and extraordinary customer service. The bibo team is proud of its increasing success since opening 2 years ago and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Marketing, PR and Events Manager to take bibo to the next stage of its development.
THE ROLE:
You will be motivated and passionate about developing and delivering high-performing marketing and PR strategies, with a particular focus on growing functions and events revenue. You will also be responsible for the sales and organisation of events in the restaurant. There will be opportunity to contribute to bibo’s expansion into new venues.
MARKETING:
• Lead Generation - Create and execute paid search, display and social lead generation campaigns to maximise events sales.
• Email - Create/send regular EDMs on MailChimp; CRM.
• Social Media - Assist with social media strategy and Online engagement w growth on Instagram & Facebook.
• Collateral Design - Create marketing collateral and write copy for monthly and ad hoc events and promotions; Update Function & Events kit with menu & wine changes.
• Website Management - Regularly update and manage Wordpress website, bookings and review sites.
• Partnerships - Identify and manage strategic partnership opportunities.
• Analytics - Analysis, optimisation and reporting to the Board.
PR:
• Develop story angles and create press releases to pitch to key media to generate positive media coverage.
• Develop and maintain media relationships; Media monitoring.
• Develop and implement creative strategies to engage with local community, local businesses, private and corporate clients.
EVENTS MANAGEMENT:
• Respond to enquiries and leads, conduct site inspections, follow up and sell event spaces in bibo.
• Liaise with Restaurant Manager, Head Chef and Head Sommelier to organise high quality dining functions for private and corporate clients and bibo special events.
• Build and maintain client relationships for new and repeat business.
• Assist front-of-house staff to set up and run functions as required.
• Assist with general reservations as required.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
We would only like to hear from highly motivated candidates who are interested in growing with the business and have experience in strategy and execution of Marketing, PR & Event Management.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Demonstrated Marketing experience in creating and implementing paid digital lead generation and re-targetting campaigns. Experience with Facebook/Instagram ads, Facebook pixel, Google AdWords, SEO, MailChimp, Canva or other graphic design software, and Microsoft Office suite;
• Demonstrated experience in PR and successfully generating media coverage;
• Event Management experience, ideally within a restaurant setting;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• A proactive and positive attitude, attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to work autonomously and within a small team.
Desired but not essential:
• Hospitality experience and familiarity with Resdiary / Dimmi.
• Passion for and knowledge of food, wine and the hospitality industry.
• Ability to assist in the restaurant with events on an ad hoc basis; Current RSA Card would be a bonus.
• Wordpress website management.
The role will be 4-5 days a week with flexible hours for the right person. Full working rights required.
