About the Role
As Head Sommelier, you will curate, manage and serve our extensive wine list and play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience. Reporting directly to the General Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Curating one of the country's most extensive and well-loved French-Australian wine lists.
- Training and upskilling the sommelier team, as well as the wider front of house.
- Leading and inspiring a high-performing team through service.
- Building a positive, inclusive team culture centred on growth, collaboration, and a shared passion for hospitality.
- Stocktaking, ordering, cellar management and invoicing
About You
We’re searching for a hospitality professional who is passionate about creating a world-class dining experience.
Key qualities we’re looking for include:
- Extensive experience in premium restaurants, with a deep understanding of fine dining systems
- A demonstrated track record of leadership and team management
- Comprehensive wine knowledge, with a particular focus on France/Australia, with WSET/CMS qualifications ideal but not a prerequisite
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to foster positive team dynamics.
