Head Mixologist (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

We're searching for a talented Mixologist to be responsible for leading our enthusiastic and dedicated team of Food and Beverage Professionals at Observatory Bar. Set in the beautifully designed, sophisticated and luxury hotel The Langham, Sydney. We will be offering intimate table-service, bespoke cocktails, an extensive premium wine list, with five star bar snacks.

About the Role

Our Head Mixologist of our exciting new venue will assist with managing the business and ensuring it runs efficiently and profitably while maintaining our excellent reputation and attention to customer service. The successful candidate will assist with all day-to-day bar operations, menu development, staffing, and maintain our high standards in products and services.

• Previous experience as a Mixologist in a fast-paced high-end cocktail bar environment is essential.
• Extensive product knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and wine
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong communication skills to build relationships with customers and staff
• Comprehensive understanding of stock control and ordering techniques, costings, sales analysis and business acumen
• Ability to work evenings and weekends and late nights.
• Problem-solving, organisational and time management skills
• Training and presentation skills are favourable–we regularly consult with corporate clients.
