Do you love wine, sales, brand development and being part of a great team? If so, Agnew Wines is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team at their Sydney office in North Sydney.
Agnew Wines is a family owned wine company headquartered in the Hunter Valley with its Sales and Marketing Office based in Sydney. Agnew Wines owns, produces, markets and distributes three distinct labels – Audrey Wilkinson, Cockfighter's Ghost and Pooles Rock – each with a differing marketing and regional focus. This role provides great scope to work with some quality brands in significant growth, and also work with an established sales team to further grow the sales of these brands in the Australian market. This role would suit an established BDM, on-premise manager, off-premise manager, state manager or exceptional account manager.
The role:
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing you will be responsible for:
- Develop strategy for driving growth of established customers including national accounts and large independents.
- Work with the existing sales team to support and drive growth of territories
- Bring new business to the company
- Execute current promotional plan and develop new promotional plans
- Complete tenders and create proposal's in collaboration with the team
The successful candidate should possess;
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the alcohol industry
- Have strong industry relationships with buyers.
- Excellent sales and negotiating skills
- Tertiary qualifications
- A hands on and practical approach
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft suite
- Have a current drivers license and be willing to travel domestically
