The Australian subsidiary of the prestigious French group VRANKEN-POMMERY MONOPOLE, the second largest Champagne and wine group globally, is expanding. We boast a portfolio of highly regarded brands such as Champagne Pommery, and Heidsieck & Co Monopole, as well as selected premium table wine labels. We are seeking a:
Brand Development Manager – Sydney area
The ideal candidate will be responsible for management and further development of both On Premise (fine dining restaurants, bars, 5 star hotels, clubs, selected events and corporate) and premium independent Off Premise outlets.
A love of Champagne and wine as well as a good dose of entrepreneurship to drive brand and business development through a strong network within the world of fine dining and independent retail is required.
The role encompass the following key responsibilities:
- Promote and represent the portfolio of brands throughout a defined area in NSW
- Business development within On Premise, independent Off Premise, events and corporate sectors
- Develop innovative trade marketing strategies to sell and promote the portfolio
- Maintain key accounts and provide superior service to customers
- Identify and qualify potential new customers
- Sell the portfolio and secure listing of multiple brands
- Negotiate pricing and trading terms
- Promote and build product knowledge with customers and conduct staff training
- Evaluate and monitor specific account promotions
- Monitor and report performance of key accounts
- Plan and execute sales programs and promotional activities
- Launch new products
- Monitor market trends and identify new sales opportunities
- Ascertain competitor information and other activities to report to management
- Achieve sales budgets and brand objectives
- Provide sales forecasts
The ideal candidate is degree educated with a strong commercial flare, confidence and a passion for the wine industry, fine dining and high-end luxury brands.
Required key skills and attributes:
- Passion for the hospitality trade with a broad existing network
- Demonstrated creativity and strategy in developing new routes to market
- Excellent personal presentation
- Relevant work experience and credibility within the industry (min. 5 years)
- Extensive wine knowledge
- Strong communication, networking and influencing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-starter with plenty of drive, initiative, tenacity and rigor
- Proactive and motivated, with a finger on the pulse of the industry
- Have great organisational skills
- Be able to hit the ground running
- Computer Literacy - Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Remuneration will recognize and reflect experience and consist of a base salary, commission and bonus structure, superannuation, car allowance and a mobile phone. Our group offers great opportunities for further career development (including international roles).
