Toi Toi Wines is a family owned New Zealand winery with vineyards in Hawke’s Bay, Marlborough and Central Otago.
We are seeking an experienced and passionate wine sale professional with industry knowledge, a sound understanding of the NSW and/or VIC market and a commitment to manage and grow our On and Off Premise business.
This is a customer-centric sales role and as such, you will need to be articulate, decisive, resilient, adaptable, proactive and well organised.
Working closely with and reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for building quality distribution and brand awareness of the portfolio in line with annual sales budgets and stretch targets.
Job Requirement
- Proven background in wine sales with the ability to work autonomously.
- A solid understanding of both On and Off Premise business channels.
- Determination and ability to consistently source new business and add value to the existing business.
- Accountable for agreed business plans and sales targets.
- Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office along with strong communication skills
- Have a clear understating of market opportunities, New Zealand wine and competitor analysis.
- Have a current driver's licence and NSW and/or VIC RSA.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and developing key customers in both on and off premise channels
- with a focus on mid- to high-end on-premise accounts, independent chain retailers, and boutique stores;
- Building long-term trading relationships with key venues and groups
- Providing a high level of customer service and attention to detail
- You may already have a small collection of like-minded, non-competing brands that you are selling.
- 5 years of winery sales or affiliated fine wine distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
- Proven account management that delivers growth in both volume and value.
- Delivering brand education and training to customer accounts
- Maximising promotional opportunities including conducting regular wine tastings
Being an integral part of a small team, you will provide feedback to the production and sales team. If you are self-motivated, have a proven track record in key account management and sales, great communication and negotiation skills, a passion for premium wine and a flexible “think outside the square” attitude, this could be the position for you.
This is a commission only role with significant earning potential for the right person.
