Wine Reservations Marketing Coordinator | Surry Hills

For over 35 years, Cellarmasters has been helping customers master their wine journey. Cellarmasters works with some of the most awarded winemakers in the Southern Hemisphere, and is passionate about educating Australians about wine and creating connections between winemakers and wine lovers.

The Wine Reservations team is responsible for the acquisition and management of customers who have subscribed to regular deliveries of their favourite wines. With over 50 different subscriptions available, there's a wine reservation to suit everyone – and we’re committed to providing exceptional wine experiences for every one of our customers.

About the role

The Wine Reservations Marketing Coordinator position presents an exciting opportunity for an entry level marketer to join the team and make a significant impact in the business. This position sits at the crossroads of marketing and product and wine education, meaning you will have an incredible opportunity to develop your marketing skills and knowledge of wine and the wine industry.

You will be responsible for:

Wine Plans

  • Management of the service communications schedule to Wine Reservations customers
  • Briefing creative teams, proof reading of communications and provision of feedback regarding these communications ensuring their timely delivery to either customer or winery.
  • Management and execution of cross channel marketing campaigns for Wine Reservations for particular campaigns
  • Process management of communications pieces from brief to delivery to customer
  • Systems process management such as bulk order processing – training will be provided
  • Contributing fresh ideas to enhance customer experience
  • Supporting improvements to the wine plans customer journey including but not limited to product, team training and improving the service to our customers
  • Develop an understanding of financial targets and results relating to Wine Reservations and be able to comfortably talk about them
  • Presentations to the wider Marketing team
  • Support the organisation and delivery of internal and customer wine plans events
  • Writing product briefs for the call centre agents to support phone sales and service
  • Adhering to a strict timeline of events and communications delivery
  • Support call centre in general daily requirements relating to Wine Reservations
  • General administrative tasks

Wine Education

  • Collating training material
  • photocopying the training booklets and placing in folders

  • ordering wines for training courses

  • Assisting the Wine Educator in setting up for each class followed by clean-up.
  • Assisting in organising the wines in the tasting room in a relevant order
  • Adhoc admin tasks for Wine Educator

Buying and Product

  • Manage internal wine orders
  • Update wine information when awards are won
  • Adhoc tasks for the Buying and Product team

To be successful for this role, you should have the following: 

  • A marketing qualification is desirable but not essential
  • 1-2 years experience in a professional marketing role
  • Wine education would be beneficial but not essential
  • Able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail
  • Very good stakeholder management and problem solving skills
  • A passion for delivering an outstanding service to customers
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong Microsoft skills especially in Excel
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise workload and multi-task
  • Must show initiative and decision making skills
  • Must show a strong work ethic and ambition to make a difference in the business
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
