Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities• Assist in managing winemaking operations from grape receival to bottling
• Support production planning, scheduling, and execution
• Monitor wine quality and assist in maintaining high standards
• Maintain accurate wine records and assist with client reporting
• Participate in tasting, blending, and trial work
• Train and supervise cellar and vintage staff
• Liaise with suppliers to coordinate deliveries of winemaking materials
• Prepare and organize commercial wine samples
• Ensure compliance with company quality, environmental, and safety policies
• Take a proactive, hands-on approach to daily winemaking tasks and problem-solving
Skills & Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Winemaking, Oenology, or a related field (or currently studying)
• Previous experience in a winery or cellar environment is required
• Understanding of Food Safety Management Systems and Organic production is advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and winery-specific software
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Positive attitude and a passion for winemaking
• Availability to work evening and night shifts during the vintage period (February to April inclusive)
