Vineyards & Cellars )
Full Time
South east Queensland,
Queensland
Job Description
We are an investment company operating in the leisure and accommodation industry. We are currently in the process of acquiring a boutique vineyard, winery and distillery located in South east Queensland about 1 hour from Brisbane.
Currently, the vineyard is in its revival and re-establishment phase with approximately 47 acres consisting of 21,000 vines. The winery’s first vintage was picked in 2007.
The vineyard is planted with Syrah and was positioned as an organic grower producing approximately 20 tonnes per year. The current plan is to operate as a normal Vineyard and to maximise the harvest.
The property is 34 hectares in size with 20 2br self-catered cottages and a large shed used as a wedding/function centre. The premise has its own cellar door. A winery and Distillery have been established onsite using high quality equipment. The winery mainly has been producing Shiraz and Rose. With Distillery the plan is to make Gin, Vodka, Limoncello, Lemon Schnapps and Brandy.
