An excellent opportunity is available for an engaging and friendly Cellar Door Coordinator to join our vibrant team. A multi-faceted and hands on role, to be successful you will be a wine enthusiast and pride yourself on delivering outstanding customer service with an unwavering focus on sales within our cellar door and direct to consumer responsibilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Combining your skills and previous experience in wine, hospitality, events, marketing and social media to fulfil the role of lifting the overall profile and popularity of the Cellar Door.
- Maximising sales by engaging and educating our visitors by:
- converting wine tasters to wine purchasers;
- providing an enjoyable, educational and consistent presentation of the products and associated merchandise;
- ensuring polite and friendly interaction with all customers, fellow staff and management; and
- providing active support and driving the growth of our Wine Club
- Managing delegated administration and financial responsibilities including cost efficiencies, stock management, roster development and sales reporting
- Achieving a profitable sales return on each interaction through providing tastings, tours and generating subsequent sales
- Pro-actively researching and keeping abreast of industry data, news articles and trends
- Visual merchandising and promotion of the Mitchelton Cellar Door in accordance with brand values
- Promoting safe attitudes and work practices

What you will bring:
- Genuine passion for the wine industry and the local region
- Qualifications in business, management, marketing or a related discipline is preferred and will be highly regarded.
- Possession of a current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate is essential.
- Ideally be studying wine or have WSET qualifications
- The ability to manage multiple priorities
- A forklift license an advantage.
- Ability to speak Chinese will be looked upon favourably.
