JOB DESCRIPTION
Josef Chromy Wines is a boutique winery located 10 minutes drive from central Launceston in Tasmania's North. Producing premium cool climate still and sparkling wines from classical varieties including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Gris. Josef Chromy Wines focuses primarily upon quality estate grown fruit, in addition to specialised contract winemaking services for a limited number of producers across the state.
Josef Chromy Wines is seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated people for the 2018 Vintage Season, running from approximately Mid February to May depending on seasonal variation. Applicants must have a strong work ethic, display a high level of initiative and be able to work in a high pressure environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Vintage staff will be involved in all facets of wine production including grape receival and processing, racking, additions, inoculations, ferment management, wine and grape analysis, blending and barrel work.
- Pay rates are in accordance with the Australian Wine Industry Award dependent upon experience.
- International Applicants must have current Visa documents allowing them to work in Australia, or can provide information that the Visa Application process has commenced. A copy of the approved Visa or associated documentation should be forwarded with your initial application.
- We have one laboratory/cellar and several cellar positions available.
Essential Criteria:
- Australian accredited forklift licence, or intention to attain one prior to vintage.
- Minimum one vintage experience.
