Peter Teakle Wines is a boutique winery based in picturesque Port Lincoln. Launched in 2017 by Peter Teakle, who has been involved in the wine industry for decades, they have demonstrated their no compromise approach to quality by appointing the highly regarded Liz Heidenreich as their head winemaker.
The award-winning Line & Label Restaurant, located on the same property, showcases the Eyre Peninsula’s local produce including exclusive estate wines such as the 2017 Peter Teakle Riesling. With strong support from the restaurant and stockists in the local region, they are now looking to expand their brand recognition and presence in Adelaide (and beyond) and grow their direct-to-consumer channel with the appointment of a Wine Sales Representative.
The Wine Sales Representative will be based in Adelaide where you will leverage your industry knowledge, experience and contacts to build the stable of hospitality clients and retail distributors. In addition, you will help develop and implement a digital sales and marketing strategy to grow the direct to consumer channel. The multi- channel sales approach will be complemented by a cellar door offering later in the year.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the business as it establishes itself as a premium boutique winery showcasing the best of South Australia’s emerging wine region, the Eyre Peninsula. The role that will allow you to work autonomously on a part time basis from home and will included a monthly retainer plus commission payments. You will be reimbursed for travel and related costs (local deliveries and customer visits) - and will include so travel to Port Lincoln on occasion.
As The successful candidate you will demonstrate:
- Previous success in the wine industry
- Strong online marketing and e-commerce understanding
- Excellent relationship development and management skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- High levels of organization and attention to detail
- Sound commercial acumen
- A current South Australian drivers licence
- Existing networks in Adelaide restaurants, retailers and hotels.
