Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated administration professional to join our sales team in the role of Packaging and Logistics Coordinator based at our Kent Town office.
This position is responsible for coordinating packaging and planning of domestic and export wine orders, including materials procurement, bottling, customer management, trademarks and stock control. This is a permanent position with flexibility for the successful candidate of 0.8-1.0 FTE (32-40 hours per week).
Key responsibilities include:
• Planning, initiating and coordinating the full packaging process from wine allocation and bottling bookings to finished product receival.
• All packaging, products and documents meet Company, regulatory, customer and export mandatory requirements and approvals meet bottling deadlines.
• Investigation of local, national and international suppliers of key packaging materials.
• Purchase of packaging materials for bottling within required timeframes and budget parameters.
• Accurate export and domestic documentation ensuring approvals are received in time to meet vessel dispatch deadlines.
• Databases and systems are accurate and regularly maintained.
Skills and experience:
• A basic understanding of the wine bottling or packaging coordination would be considered an advantage.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• High level attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a similar role or a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiating skills.
• The ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
