As 6HEAD begins to grow and we open our doors in Perth, we are seeking a  Head Sommelier to join our experienced customer focused team. You’ll be working within an extensive, premium beverage offering, plus a 280-bottle wine list, predominantly Australian with New Zealand & International Brands from France, Italy, Argentina and the United States, matched with a refined menu,

Please note this position is not an immediate start. Internal training will be provided within our other venues in Perth until the opening of 6HEAD. 

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 3 years of Premium Wine & Beverage Experience
  • Minimum WSET Level 2 Required
  • CMS Sommeliers Course an advantage – Introductory/Certified
  • Effective planning and time management skills
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Current RSA Certificate/Competency Card
  • Exceptional personal hygiene and presentation
  • Service experience, interest, skill and success in the restaurant industry
  • Excellent understanding of Australian Wine, International Wines/French/Italian/South American, spirits, cocktail knowledge & preparation, beer knowledge 
  • Bar Management
  • Stocktaking Procedures
  • Up to date with Beverage trends within the market
