THE ROLE
We are seeking a hospitality professional to join our F&B team as Function and Banquets Assistant Manager, this is a hands on operational role with a physically demanding environment. Reporting directly to Banquet and Functions Manager, you will assist in running the day to day requirements of the department including set up/pack down of functions, supervision of assigned functions, assist in staff duties and stock control. Functions range from small meetings to large weddings, corporate dinners and cocktail parties. Working within the ambience of the surrounding vineyards, combined with a fun and vibrant environment to work in makes for a very interesting and diverse role.
YOU
The successful applicant will have:
- Supervisory and or management experience within a function or banquet environment (minimum 3 years)
- Outstanding communication skills
- High standards of personal presentation
- Eye for detail and commitment to high quality F&B standards
- Be a team player
- Must be able to work days, nights and weekend shifts
You will have a passion for the hospitality industry, be able to multi-task, deliver on time, indefatigable energy, a positive approach, and do what you say you will.
You should at all times display a friendly disposition, possess client services focus, and have a can-do attitude.
