Farmer’s Leap is a family owned vineyard located in the Padthaway region of South Australia. The vineyard supplies fruit to outside interests as well as contributing to the Farmers Leap wine label and the associated Cellar Door operation.
Farmer’s Leap is seeking a vineyard manager capable of managing the day to day operations of the vineyard and its employee’s. The role would suit a self motivated candidate familiar with all vineyard practices and machinery involved with running a medium sized vineyard.
The permanent, full time position would require the successful candidate to;
- Schedule, implement and supervise seasonal vineyard programs for pruning, harvest, pest and weed management
- Liaise with staff and contractors ensuring adequate supervision
- Interaction with Winemakers to optimise quality and assist with production and scheduling
- Report and communicate with Senior Management
- Oversee and maintain internal control documentation and OHS&W practices
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Utilise a hands-on approach to the management of the vineyards
Demonstrated experience and skills associated with managing a similar sized vineyard will be viewed favourably. A current driver’s licence will be required. Forklift and Heavy Vehicle licences will be advantageous.
A salary package will be negotiated commensurate with prior experience and qualifications.
