We are on the lookout for a Cellar Door Coordinator to join our small yet fun and supportive team. The Cellar Door Coordinator ensures the highest standards of guest experience at the SkyBar – Borrodell’s cellar door and wine bar - and contributes to the reputation of Borrodell by conceptualising ideas to continuously renew our guest experience, profile and grow our customer base.
A fulltime permanent position, which, although involves weekend work, offers a generous salary + super based in Orange NSW.
About the Role
With a focus on direct customer sales leadership and meeting annual sales targets, you will be responsible for creating interesting direct to consumer campaigns and promoting them to our wine bar customers. Working closely with our marketing department, cellar door and restaurant staff, you will develop wine bar events and motivate the growth of our wine program and database. You will also assist in maintaining our close relationship with our wine club members.
You will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and delivery of insightful wine tasting and service in the Borrodell wine bar – SkyBar.
The Skybar is a modern Tasting Room perched above the vines, with uninterrupted views over the Towac Valley. It is an idyllic setting for a wine tasting experience that is both enjoyable and memorable and encourages our first-time visitors to leave as brand advocates and return as loyal Borrodell ‘family’ members.
Qualifications & experience
• Wine sales experience with excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to lead a team that delivers an enjoyable, memorable and informative wine experience.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency including email, Excel and Word, as well as POS systems. Adobe Creative Suite would be ideal but not essential.
• Event management experience.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or willingness to obtain.
• Wine education experience, ie WSET (advanced).
About You
- Significant experience in hospitality – wine tasting, wine bar, restaurant.
- Exposure to, and an understanding of, fine dining and high-end accommodation.
- Ensure event styling and documentation is in line with Borrodell marketing standards.
- The ability to think on your feet and make decisions with informed authority.
- Organisational skills and great attention to detail and an enjoyment of multitasking.
- Flexibility and adaptability within the overall business, when required.
- A team focus and collaborative approach to your colleagues.
- A genuine care for our guests and pride in your work.
