Pepper Tree Wines is searching for a dynamic candidate to join our tasting room operations on a permanent part-time basis. Our tasting rooms include the Cellar Door, Members Tasting lounge and our premium tasting room ‘The Vault’ as well as assisting with Wine Club duties. Based in Pokolbin in the heart of the Hunter Valley – we are seeking a self-starter who can take our offering to the next level.

The successful candidate should offer exceptional customer service and communication skills. Applicants must thrive on interactions and enjoy contact with customers, have a love for wine and food and have a strong team work mentality.
Weekend/public holiday work will be necessary for this job; with our tasting rooms open Monday-Sunday, 9am-5pm.
A significant part of this role will require the successful applicant to work across all tasting rooms, communicating and tasting with our visitors.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Great sales and customer service skills
- Ability to work weekends
- A sound wine knowledge
- Strong interest in wine, previous experience and working knowledge of the wine industry would be advantageous.
- Work within a team to manage and achieve sales targets and KPI’s
- Manage opening and closing procedures including cash and daily reporting.
- Manage booking systems
- Conduct tastings across all tasting rooms
- Attend events where needed
- Assist in Wine Club as needed
Whilst not required, applicants who have had experience at other wineries or hold any level of WSET training will be looked on favourably.
This is a permanent part time roll with guaranteed 3 days per week consisting mostly of weekend work. With the opportunity to increase hours with future needs.
Qualifications/Licences
- Possession of Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Current Driver’s license
