About the role
We are on the look out for a friendly, passionate and motivated Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team!
As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you are an enthusiastic leader with strong communication and organisational abilities who can lead and inspire a team of professionals.
A Rydges Newcastle Food & Beverage Supervisor prides themselves on supporting a dedicated team in continually improving our operations and guest service levels. Your focus will be to supervise the daily operations of our Food and Beverage department in multiple outlets across the Restaurant, Bar and Function rooms, ensuring our guests enjoy a memorable experience whilst maximising revenue opportunities. This role will suit an enthusiastic and motivated individual wishing to excel in the hospitality industry.
This role is perfect for you if:
- You have a positive attitude and loads of initiative.
- You're a fast thinker and make decisions on the run!
- You like working in a fast pace environment with something always to do.
- You have a passion for all things food and beverage.
- You are a leader and can motivate a team.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following qualities:
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- A current and up-to-date RSA qualification
- Professional manner and grooming
- Adaptable to the fast paced and dynamic hotel industry
- Flexibility and can work 7 day rotating roster including Public Holidays
- Ability to work across different service periods.
- The ability to build, train and mentor a team
- A positive & enthusiastic attitude with the ability to multi task and make decisions on the run.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience with POS Systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of restaurants, bars and conference operations is highly desirable.
