In addition to the first class wine making process First Creek also has state of the art onsite bottling facilities that are presently processing in excess of 1.3 million cases of wine a year.
An opportunity currently exists for an Electrical Technician to contribute to the efficient operation of our bottling lines and winery that will continue to enhance the First Creek reputation.
The Electrical Technician will be responsible for covering breakdowns repairs, carrying out preventive maintenance programs and assisting in the maintenance management of the winery plant and equipment, and the process infrastructure for the production, bottling and packaging of high quality wines.
This is a full time role and will suit an individual who is self-motivated and focused, with great attention to detail, along with a flexible approach and can-do attitude.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensure that all winery, bottling & packaging, and warehouse plant and equipment is functioning to its full production capacity
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and breakdown tasks as directed
- Carry out planning of site specific scheduled maintenance tasks
- Conduct after hours breakdowns when required.
- Perform general electrical duties and assist in operational tasks as required
- Use supplied technology to investigate plant assets, faults and repairs, including fault finding with PLC hardware.
- Communicate with, organise and supervise sub-contractors as required.
- Provide other support as required by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Arrange required testing, regular inspections and audits as appropriate
- Ensure all plant and equipment is maintained in accordance with the relevant safety standards.
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant trade certification and appropriate licenses
- Breakdown and fault finding experience
- Electrical Instrument and Control experience - preferred
- Experience in refrigeration plant operation - preferred
- Wine industry maintenance (bottling or winery) - preferred
Salary: $60,000 per annum plus super
This is a permanent position which is subject to a qualifying period.
