Terra Rossa Viticultural Management are producers of organic wine grapes and provide viticultural services to other grape producers in the Limestone Coast region.
We have a vacancy for a dynamic and motivated Vineyard Manager to coordinate operations across more than 300 hectares of grapes. The position will be best suited to a strong team player who works well under pressure and enjoys problem solving.
You will be required to hold a viticultural qualification or at least 10 years’ experience managing vineyards. A mechanical mind and an ability to operate machinery is a must.
The key aspects of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor crop disease and manage appropriately;
- Program and monitor irrigation systems;
- Liaise with key stakeholders regarding crop requirements, including spray programs, crop estimates, and harvest schedules;
- Maintain records for HACCP and other certifying bodies;
- Delegate operations tasks to employees and oversee work quality; and
- Compliance with Company policies and procedures including WHS&E
This is a salary position. Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant, commensurate with experience.
