Gilbert Family Wines is a family-owned premium & Award-winning wine business, located in Mudgee - drawing fruit from Orange, Mudgee and Eden Valley.
Job Description:
You will manage all aspects of our Social Media accounts (relating to hand-over descriptives), and assist in the execution/completion of export orders in a timely and required manner.
You will also be working with the Marketing & Sales Manager to manage our marketing strategies and initiatives (through periodical planning) for the gilbert brand.
The Role:
- 12-month maternity leave position – 32-hour/4-day week
- There will be opportunity for the right candidate to expand to a permanent role within the business
The Candidate:
- Passion for wine! Along with a willingness to further develop your wine knowledge
- RSA Certified – ideal & essential for furthering role (online course)
- Must be self-motivated, creative and hard working
- Ability to work as part of a team, take direction and work autonomously towards deadlines
- Ability to priority multi-task and be adaptable to role requirements
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Well presented & strong attention to detail
- Be prepared to work hard, have fun and build our brand

- Live in the Mid-Western Region or is in a position to commute to or relocate to Mudgee, NSW

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage both our Social Media accounts, including responding to messages/comments in a timely and appropriate manner, uploading stories/planned insights and sharing regulated posts; whilst maintaining approved advanced planning (Ie. promotional events)
- Prepare & dispatch periodical trade samples & stockist orders; when required
- Assist with The Collector Wine Club preparation/execution; order supplies, collate tasting notes, ensure subscriptions are maintained & wine box pack-up, dispatch/tracking
(March, June, September, December)
- Prepare and send out Monthly consumer EDM's and trade EDM's; as required
- Assist with market research and purchase of investment worthy event paraphernalia; discussed with the Marketing & Sales + Cellar Door Managers’
- Assist the Marketing & Sales Manager with the implementation of the new e-commerce system and website. Eg. mapping pages and assisting with design collaboration
- Work with the Office Manager for the execution to completion of our Export orders; ensuring wine labels are accurate and in line with the export guidelines
- Work with the winemaker/s to create & maintain wine labels for current vintages; design, ordering and receival
- Ongoing creation of marketing assets as required. This could include our trade portfolio, Collector recipe cards, tasting notes, wine award/review portfolio, and likewise
- Assist the Cellar Door & Events Manager in promotional strategies to increase awareness of The Cellar by Gilbert as a venue; in conjunction with the Marketing & Sales Manager + Winemaker/s
- Support and liaise with the Managing Director, Winemakers’, Marketing & Sales Manager, Cellar Door & Events Manager & Administration|Accounts|Office Manager to ensure that the business requirements are met in a timely and cohesive fashion – this may require attendance/reporting within the fortnightly WIP Meeting
- Provide effective customer service at all times; where required
- May be required to work at consumer events & functions at times – this requires an RSA
- Be a brand ambassador for Gilbert in all aspects of your role
- Always maintain confidentiality at all times & maintain a positive work culture within the business
