Cellar Door Staff
(Wine Jobs:
Vineyards & Cellars )
Contract
Logan Wines
Mudgee, Blue Mountains & Central West,
NSW
Established in 1997, Logan Wines is a proud family business and has long been a standout amongst Mudgee’s world-class wine offerings. Owner and winemaker Peter Logan continues his father Malcolm’s (Logan’s founder) proud tradition of making fine Australian wine and championing the exceptional fruit of the NSW Central Ranges wine region – Mudgee and Orange. Under Peter’s expert and passionate guidance, Logan has grown from a modest family business to an operation with global reach. Peter’s award-winning wines can be found on the wine lists of some of the finest venues in Australia, and are exported and increasingly widely available throughout Asia, Europe, with significant presence in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Sweden and Canda.
An opportunity has arisen for a Casual Front of House Cellar Door Staff Member to join our team.
The position currently available is 2-4 days a week in-house (please only apply if you live in or around Mudgee or are in the process of relocating to Mudgee). Hours of work are 9am - 5pm (which can be flexible on days you have any appointments or need to pick up children etc.). Occasionally on busier weekends/public holiday weekends, you may finish at 5.30pm - 6:00pm.
Working as part of a small team you will be tasked with providing wine tasting and sales experience for visitors to our beautiful award-winning Cellar Door. Throughout the year we do some exciting offsite Wine Stall events where you and another team member will travel and attend on behalf of Logan Wines. All travel and accommodation and pier diems are provided and you will always have the support of another Logan Wines Team Member.
At Logan, we offer you a flexible roster that doesn’t involve you working every weekend, a fun and supportive team environment, a generous wine allowance, opportunities for growth within the company, and a chance to be part of a close-knit wine community.
What we're looking for:
- You are interested in wine and eager to learn. We offer full support and training to help you feel comfortable selling our wine
- A commitment to delivering an enjoyable and memorable customer experience to everyone who contacts and visits us
- Experience in the hospitality and/or the wine industry is highly recommended, but not essential
- Flexibility with working hours, inclusive of public holidays, weekdays, and weekends (2 per month)
- A friendly personality who is adaptable, efficient, and above all, a team player
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (or the willingness to obtain one)
- Assist with wine club packing which takes place once a month. This involves spending the day in our warehouse (just below our cellar door) with another Logan Team Member packing 60-80 orders.
- Willingness to travel and work at off-site wine stall events (2-3 per year). All travel, accommodation, and per diems are provided.
- Due to having a second smaller cellar door in Orange there may be the occasional weekend or event where we check your availability to assist the Orange team. Again all travel, accommodation, and per diems are provided.
Benefits of working with us:
- Be part of a stable business with opportunities for growth
- Attractive weekday, weekend and public holiday rates
- Generous Wine Allowance and discount
- A supportive flexible environment
- Recognition for hard work
- Learning and Development opportunities
- Great team culture
