Long established family owned wine company with approx. 100 acres of organic certified vineyards spread over 6 properties mostly in the Monash area. All well maintained machinery to cover most tasks in house. The Vineyard manager role undertakes most vineyard work along with the assistance and supervision of staff, roles include but not limited to the following. 

• Supervise vineyard staff and all day to day vineyard practices 
  • Weed control
  • Spray canopy and maintaining spray diary
  • Trellis repairs
  • Machinery maintenance
  • Record keeping of inputs and harvest deliveries
  • Fertilise and canopy management 
• Maintain all administrative records of staff, purchases, goods in etc. and forward to Head office
• Daily communication with management and Head Office as required
• Supervise all contractors used such as mechanical harvesters, mechanical pruning
• Manage irrigation and fertigation
• Undertake and coordinate all maintenance on plant, vineyard and irrigation.
• Work with consulting agronomist on disease and canopy management
• Maintain clean and tidy vineyard and work environment
• Attend different industry meetings and or workshops to update knowledge and practices
• Full site management and company owners are based in Adelaide with the production and wines sales of the remaining wine business
• Previous vineyard experience essential with good understanding of vineyard equipment, tractors, spray carts etc.
