About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Vineyard Supervisor to join our team 10km from Mildura. Incorporating new digital technology and embracing progressive practices, this vineyard supplies premium wine grapes to iconic Australian brands, and world leading wine companies. We are seeking a candidate to manage all vineyard operations, ensuring effective commercial and safe operations to industry recognised best management practices. This hands-on role liaises with the Farm Manager and Irrigation Overseer and will primarily be involved in all infield vineyard operations. The successful candidate will be empowered to deliver in this business-critical role.

About You
- Be proactive and have a passion for the horticulture industry
- Experience in similar role, preferably with experience organising/participating in harvest of grapes
- Good computer literacy and knowledge of vineyard irrigation systems
- Ability to lead by example and motivate team to reach their full potential
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices
- Have well developed written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to participate as a member of the team and to contribute to the overall achievement of the company’s objectives
- Good knowledge and understanding of chemical application, ideally with chemical accreditation (company will provide opportunity to obtain chemical accreditation)
Responsibilities
- Supervise and carry out all day to day vineyard activities
- Scheduling of vineyard irrigation and fertigation programs
- Operation and general maintenance of tractors, plant and equipment
- Co-ordinate seasonal contractors and participate in harvesting operations
- Assist with management of chemical and fertiliser inventory
- Herbicide and fungicide spraying, ensuring weather conditions are suitable and performed to required standards
- Undertake pruning and general vine maintenance
- Ensure compliance related to work, health and safety policies and procedures
- Report to and work collaboratively with Farm Manager
