AVL is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced "hands on" Maintenance Foreman to join the Maintenance Team at our Merbein Packaging facility in Vic (a 10 minute drive from Mildura, Victoria). This position will see you supervise the day to day operations of our highly experienced and dedicated maintenance team and ensure all maintenance needs and requirements for our production lines are met in  a timely and efficient manner.

Reporting to the Site Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Foreman will be responsible for, and have a sound knowledge of, the following:

• Timely repair and maintenance of production equipment;
• Diagnostic analysis of equipment to improve efficient performance;
• Directed installation of capital works as required;
• Compliance with site and company policies including Food Safety, Quality Management and Safe Operating Procedures;
• Strong focus on WHSE requirements with an ability to cultivate a positive and enduring WHSE culture;
• Excellent communication and organisation skills, with a sound ability to effectively task prioritise
• Ability to manage and supervise a small team

To succeed in this role, you must be experienced with the maintenance of general machinery and preferable packaging line equipment. You will be able to trouble shoot using logical reasoning and work harmoniously in a small team environment with regard to safety and quality. Previous experience in Winery and Production maintenance is preferred however applicants with a sound mechanical aptitude and competent in the safe use of workshop equipment will be highly regarded. Training in the electrical field or PLC knowledge would also be advantageous. A competitive salary package and wine allowance will be offered to the successful applicant.
