Houghton winery is located in Middle Swan just outside of Perth, Western Australia.  We are a 5000t winery producing commercial and premium wines sourcing grapes from most of the grape-growing regions of Western Australia.

In this role

Your main duties will be:

To undertake general winery operations within the cellar / laboratory for the 2017 Vintage period

Key tasks will include

  • Vintage operations

  • Follow direction as provided by Winemakers and supervisors.

  • Assist and maintain general winery cleanliness and hygiene.

  • Ensure that cellar operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner adhering to company policies and procedures.

  • Wear required personal protection equipment.

  • Attend training as required.

To succeed, the essential knowledge & skills are

A passion for wine and the wine industry.

International Applicants must have current VISA documents allowing them to work in Australia, or can provide information that the Visa Application process has commenced.  A copy of the approved VISA or associated documentation should be forwarded with your initial application.

Ideally you will have this experience..

  • Participation in and successful completion of training modules essential for a Cellar Hand
  • Previous experience in carrying out Cellar Operations duties in a similar environment
