Divas Beverages is a successful and well-established alcohol based Beverage Company with retail distribution across Australia in the independent liquor channel, and as such we are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Area Sales Manager to join our sales team.
Reporting to the State Sales Manager for Vic/Tas, you will be responsible for servicing accounts throughout Victoria. Some overnight travel to the regional areas will also be required. You will be servicing accounts both the On and Off Premise channel.
The successful applicant needs to have a versatile set of skills and preferably would come from a background in liquor sales. You will need to be outgoing, relationship minded, and will be responsible for the sale of our products across our existing customer base, while also seeking out opportunities in other sub channels including clubs, hotels, bars and restaurants. Being a small and growing business, all of our team have a hands on, can do attitude which is an important attribute in the successful applicant.
Duties:
- Establish, grow and maintain on and off premise accounts within your assigned territory.
- Seek and achieve new business opportunities & range extensions on a day to day basis with some cold calling required.
- Maintain a regular call cycle using CRM software.
- Use CRM daily to collect data, assess opportunities and report on your area.
- Provide product information and complete tastings as required.
- After hours appointments may be required to fulfil your role.
- Regional overnight trips may be required within a call cycle.
- Complete other duties as they arise or with direction given from Sales Management.
About you:
- In this autonomous role, you will be a positive and confident self-starter that will be accountable for the delivered result.
- Be organised and highly motivated with the ability to influence and sell in a competitive category.
- Comfortable talking numbers relating to trade maths, you will learn to excel in presenting and discussing strategic business ideas to key retailers and buyers.
- Initiative and drive to do what is required to exceed KPI’s
- The ability to grow your territory through solid planning and sales data analysis.
- Excellent presentation with strong communication skills
- CRM experience is an advantage
- Optimise sales and ranging to a large set of existing accounts
- An attentive, goal oriented and friendly personality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Capability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Proven sales experience is necessary, and experience in on or off Premise Wine/Spirits/Beer/FMCG would be advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license
- Victorian RSA preferred but not essential, however you will need to obtain this upon accepting the role
