The role
As a Sourcing Manager, you will be key to the delivery of our Exclusive Liquor brand strategy across our three retail banners. You will use your sound knowledge of the Liquor industry and your commercial awareness to source products in line with our exclusive Liquor Brand strategy, and category team requirements.
You will be the wine subject matter expert and bring innovation into the business. You will work cross-functionally across our Category, Supply Chain and Marketing teams to identify new opportunities and ensure that sourced products meet quality standards, benchmarks and customer satisfaction ratings.
This role presents a great opportunity to be a key driver behind our continued Exclusive Liquor Brand growth.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- implement and deliver the private label and exclusive brands strategy
- source private label and exclusive brand products in line with the strategy and category team requirements
- work collaboratively with suppliers and stakeholders to identify new opportunities
- manage pricing strategies and provide recommendations on promotional strategy
- demonstrate understanding of consumer buying behaviour
- ensure that sourced products meet quality standards, benchmarks and customer satisfaction ratings
To be successful, you’ll have:
- sound knowledge of the liquor industry
- experience in a buying or sourcing role within a retail environment
- experience within an FMCG wine supplier / retailer
- sound knowledge of end-to-end supply chain
- proven commercial success and strong financial acumen
- highly developed tasting skills and a passion for wine preferred
