We are incredibly excited to recruit a restaurant Sommelier, to work alongside Head Sommelier Wil Martin, and assist in curating an enviable and dynamic wine list that showcases the best of old and new world wine regions.
The list itself is constantly changing to keep up with Australia’s ever shifting wine landscape, a nod to old world regions with a firm foundation of domestic offerings. Being THE celebratory restaurant, there will also be a focus on great Champagne. Local producers will also be highlighted allowing us to show what great wine is being made within an hour or two from St Kilda Beach
This is a great opportunity for an emerging wine professional to work for a high-profile hospitality group that values energy and creativity. With exceptional sales driven service, that is intuitive, familiar and knowledgeable.
The right candidate will also receive extensive training both onsite and offsite through regular tastings.
The Sommelier will:
- Be trained from a service and wine sales aspect
- Be passionate about wine and dining experiences
- Assist in developing a wine educated service team
- Direct the wine culture within the organisation in a positive, enthusiastic, and efficient manner.
- Work on the floor to help curate individual customer wine experiences whilst maximise wine selling opportunities
- Assist with Customer Profiling and Relationship Management
