M. Chapoutier Australia is looking for a driven person with the desire to participate in the growth of a dynamic and successful wine business. As a producer, importer, exporter and distributor of some of the most famous wines from France and Australia, this is a diverse company with an exciting future.
This role has varied responsibilities:
Sales
Assist the GM where required, and in particular:
- Provide the sales representatives with stock forecasting and sales analysis
- Liaise with distributors
Marketing
Managing and updating the website (monthly newsletters, maintain and develop data base, answer web based enquiries etc.)
Coordinate our participation in various wine themed events throughout the year
Liaise with Marketing department in France on label design
Manage the organisation of trips to Australia from France and other export countries for trade buyers, sommeliers
Manage the organisation of trips to Australia for Michel Chapoutier
Import/export
Responsible for liaising with freight forwarders, international and local logistics, export customers and M. Chapoutier France for the import and export of wine
Responsible for preparing, applying and obtaining all export documentations: wine and labels approvals from the AWBC, export certificates and permits
Responsible for and insuring a smooth relationship with all actors: freight forwarders, customers, customs, and other institutions involved in the import/export process
Production
Work with GM, Technical Manager (France) and Winemaker to ensure proper production planning
Responsible for obtaining dry goods quotations and placing orders to meet production planning timetable
Responsible for ensuring that all dry goods artworks comply with the Australian and International regulations
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Desirable
- Knowledge of the wine industry and French wines in particular
- Understanding of import/export logistics and procedures
Essential
- Fluent French language skills
- Knowledge of Office Administration
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to perform under pressure and work to a deadline
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in MYOB and Excel
- Good understanding of inventory control
- Highly organised with an eye for detail
- Must be Australian resident
