Job Description

Our client is a leader in the beverage industry, with a long standing history. They are currently seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician to join the team.

You will be liaising with a variety of professionals such as Wine Makers, Quality Assurance, Production and Operations team members, as well as external stakeholders. You will also be training and mentoring production line staff in regards to Quality Control checks and specifications.

Therefore, you will need to be an adept communicator with excellent written & verbal communication skills. You will also ideally have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar Technical Laboratory role in the food manufacturing environment. Experience in the beverage, wine or spirits industry would be highly advantageous.

Key Duties

• Internal testing of incoming samples.
• Analysis and microbial testing of all production.
• Developing and following internal processes and procedures.
• Production line approvals and ongoing Quality Control checks of production runs.
• Submitting samples to external laboratories for audit.
• Inventory management and maintaining associated logs and records.
• Back-filling Wine Maker and Quality Coordinator duties if required.

The successful candidate will have qualifications in quality, food science or a related discipline

This is a temporary full-time position with the potential to become permanent.
