Purchasing and Stock Controller (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Bibendum Wine Co. is one of Australia’s most respected wine & spirit importers and distributors, working with over one hundred of the world’s greatest wine producers and benchmark craft distillers. We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing and Stock Controller, preferably with experience in the wine/beverage industry, to join our long-established business.

The Role:

• Monitor stock levels daily and manage ordering requirements according to budget and release schedules.
• Liaise with the warehouse on arrival of stock and ensure the customer service and sales teams have up to date, accurate information at all times.
• Manage movement of spirit stock from the bonded warehouse.
• Coordinate orders from Australian and overseas spirit suppliers, and communicate arrivals of spirit stock to bond.
• Manage stock replenishments between warehouses.
• Manage bin ends in all warehouses.
• Monitor movement of stock between warehouses.
• Administer periodic stocktakes and manage investigations.
• Work closely with the purchasing team on overseas ordering, arrivals schedule, pricing, and product creation.
• Contribute to the development of processes to increase efficiencies and manage workflow.
• Deliver a consistently high standard of communication and service to our producers.
• Contribute to weekly and monthly management reporting.

The Person:

• Knowledge and experience of purchasing and stock control processes in a beverage environment.
• Excellent supply chain analysis and planning skills.
• Team player motivated to achieve results.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently. 
• Excellent MS Word & Excel skills.
