Gypsy Hub is an experienced production group and solution provider working across multiple sites within the beverage industry. Partnering with makers and start-ups across the country, we have brought many award-winning products to life including our own under the ‘Craft and Co’ and ‘Concrete and Clay’ brands. We work closely with brewers, distillers and winemakers Australia wide to develop recipes and grow them to commercial scale.

Gypsy Hub is a multi-site operation business providing services for bottling, canning and packaging for the beverage industry. 

As a division of The Beverage Food Group, our business covers many facets and scales, from local, artisan home making all the way though to international, industrial scale, commercial facilities.

About the role

Your role will include:

  • Oversee bottling, canning and packaging operations to accomplish production requirements which meet business goals.
  • To manage operations within budget and financial targets.
  • Manage the plant within guidelines for safety regulations.
  • Oversee process for QA checks and documentation. 
  • Recruit, train and supervise line operators. Ensure line operators adhere to all Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices.
  • Oversee lead continuous improvement efforts driving production efficiency and cost improvements. Track efficiencies, quality and production data to improve yields and reduce losses.
  • Scheduling bottling, canning and packaging to optimise efficiency and coordinate logistics for freight and dispatch. 
  • Working closely with the Gypsy Hub production team to coordinate scheduling, materials and timelines. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years advanced experience in all phases of wine & spirit bottling and packaging operations.
  • Canning operations experiene viewed favourably
  • Minimum of 3 years’ management/supervisory experience.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship management skills. 
  • Driver's and Forklift licence
  • Data and technology driven
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks conforming to scheduling priorities, demands, and timelines.
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Detail oriented ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Solid knowledge of safety regulations
  • High commercial ability to identify growth opportunities in the market.
  • Ability to develop relationships with customers.
  • Ability to lead a team to success.
