National Retail Key Account Manager – Champagne & Wine (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Australian division of a French multinational.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing all major national retail accounts (including but not limited to Coles, Woolworths, ALM, IBA & Duty Free). You will be required to develop key account plans to drive distribution and brand growth, develop promotional programs, analyse market and category data to identify opportunities, as well as manage trade spend and budgets.

A love for Champagne & wine as well as a good dose of entrepreneurship to drive brand and business development through a strong existing network is required. You know how to get things done inside an organization effectively and you have a solutions mindset, always seeking the best deal for your customers and the business.

This role will encompass the following key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and further develop existing national key accounts
  • Target new business opportunities
  • Build strong relationships that lead to strong support and long-term partnerships
  • Work across the portfolio of multiple brands
  • Negotiate pricing and trading terms
  • Monitor market trends and identify new sales opportunities
  • Launch new products
  • Participate in exhibitions & trade shows
  • Develop innovative retail marketing strategies
  • Manage in-store promotions and activations
  • Evaluate and monitor performance of key accounts 
  • Ascertain and analyse competitor information
  • Achieve sales budgets & brand objectives per product category
  • Provide accurate forecast input

Skills & Experience:

Degree qualified, you will possess a high level of financial and commercial acumen, accompanied with strong negotiation skills. You will be driven, adaptable and motivated, and thrive off working in an entrepreneurial environment. Possessing gravitas and excellent communication skills, you will be able to articulate a clear vision and be able to work in partnership with your key accounts to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. A natural hunter comfortable with prospecting new business opportunities.
