Our client is a family owned and operated global multi-beverage wholesaler, retailer and distributor based in Melbourne. They are looking for an experienced Distillery Manager to oversee the creation of spirits and/or liqueur blends.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Project manage the installation and commissioning of new still equipment
  • Develop new products in consultation with NPD Blend Master, Sales and Marketing requirements
  • Blend existing spirit portfolio
  • Manage distillery operations including the sourcing of raw materials, malting, fermentation, distillation, maturation and blending
  • Develop end-to-end processes of the distillery production and ageing processes
  • Develop process and data logs of production to be shared between departments and Management  

Skills and experience

  • Minimum of 4 years commercial experience in distilling alcohol
  • Advanced knowledge of all process involved with distillation
  • A strong understanding of spirit and wine distribution principals, practices and administrative duties
  • Well-developed sensory skills for tasting and evaluating spirits and/or liqueurs
  • Strong scientific knowledge Project Management and Quality Control skills
