Rob Dolan Wines is an independently owned winery located just 30 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD in leafy Warrandyte South. As well as being home to the Rob Dolan brand the winery also operates as a contract winemaking facility for numerous brands and includes a micro winery, a brewery, a cheese maturation room and an events space.

Our Cellar Door opened in 2016 and has enjoyed two successful years of trade. Open 7 days wine tasting is on offer, along with wine for sale by the glass and bottle to take home. A selection of cheese and charcuterie is also available for purchase. Cellar Door Events are held seasonally throughout the year and are well attended.

Due to internal promotion and brand growth we are offering a unique opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Cellar + Events Door Manager to take the reins and continue realising our vision by maximising visitation, sales opportunities and enhancing the customer experience. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage daily operations of cellar door
  • Conduct wine tastings and sales
  • Coordinate and host VIP and group wine experiences
  • Implementation, execution and management of all on site events
  • Cellar door staff rostering, management and training
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene and presentation, including cleaning and visual merchandising
  • Administrative and financial responsibilities as required 

EXPERIENCE + ATTRIBUTES

We’re looking for someone energetic and down-to-earth. Proven leadership and sales experience are a must, experience in the wine industry is preferred but not essential. The successful candidate must be organised and be able to multi task and prioritise.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous Cellar Door, Sales and/or Event Management experience
  • A current Victorian RSA certificate, drivers licence and a reliable vehicle
  • Excellent people management and customer service skills
  • Qualifications in business, tourism, management, marketing or related discipline is an advantage 

HOURS + SALARY

  • This is a full time position with a five day working week with standard hours of 9.30am – 5.30pm
  • Weekend, evening and Public Holiday work will be required
  • There is opportunity for the candidate to roster their own hours in conjunction with the Employer to suit their lifestyle as much as possible
  • Salary package negotiable depending on experience plus a generous wine allowance and discount structure
