Alepat Taylor is a family owned company located in Preston. Operating since 1978, we specialise in the distribution and bottling of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Our Client base includes many top global beverage businesses through to smaller entrepreneurs and start-ups, alongside the manufacture of our own ranges of products.
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Quality Control Assistant to work with our QA/QC Manager and the wider Production/Manufacturing team.
The successful candidate will work directly with the Quality Assurance Manager. Duties and tasks will include performing start-up packing line approvals & on-going QC checks.
The Successful candidate will gain significant experience working in an environment that encourages diversity and multi-skilling due the variety of products produced.
Key Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to-
- Ensure all activities are performed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
- Ensure that all products are bottled as per specification, maintaining consistency of quality throughout.
- Submission of product samples to external labs as required and meeting scheduled audit requirements.
- Maintenance of accurate and detailed logs, records and reports
- Making sure that products bottled comply with Customer Specifications, Alepat Taylor Quality Manual & Code of Good Manufacturing Practice
- Ensure adherence to Alepat Taylor's Quality & HSE system, its performance standards, policies and procedures.
- Drive, maintain and continuously improve departmental Procedures and Processes
The Successful Candidate will have:
- Formal qualifications in quality, food science or a related discipline
- Minimum of two years relevant Quality Control and laboratory experience, with experience in the beverage and/or FMCG sector being a distinct advantage.
- An understanding of SQF2000 (or equivalent thereof) and Organic certification
- Experience with and able and willing to work within a team environment
- Level headed ability to prioritise and multi-task
- A strong focus on quality, safety and a strong attention to detail
- Drivers Licence
